  • Chapter Learning Objectives Exercise prompt you to keep the chapter’s broad objectives in mind as you read.  Before you complete the exercises, read the Learning Objectives at the beginning of the chapter.
  • Chapter Overview provide a synopsis of the major ideas introduced in each chapter. Review the overview before you read the chapter.
